Current Legislative Issues
- Encourage European Union officials to base their decisions on science and ensure the final revised RoHS Directive does not restrict Tetrabromobisphenol-A (TBBPA), the flame retardant used in more than 80 percent of printed boards
- Enactment of a permanent Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credit to ensure the competitiveness of U.S. technology-based businesses
- Encourage your legislator to lessen the burden of forthcoming regulations on requirements for reporting the origin of tin, gold, tantalum and tungsten.
- Support the re-establishment of a rare earth elements (REE) supply chain in the United States to ensure that U.S. companies can continue to manufacture products relying upon REE including commercial electronics, advanced weapon systems, and "green energy technologies."
- Encouraging Congress to ensure that the North American printed board industry remains capable of supporting DoD's cutting edge technology needs.
