Career Opportunity: Manager – Design Standards and Related Industry Programs

IPC — Association Connecting Electronics Industries is looking to hire a Manager – Design Standards and Related Industry Programs that has solid Project Management experience.

The Manager – Design Standards and Related Industry Programs will manage the standards development and related activities for printed boards and assembly design programs. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing and working with committees on developing standards with activities such as:
    • Maintaining committee documentation and utilizing IPC’s Standardization Procedures.
    • Interfacing with industry volunteers.
    • Perform publishing activities such as editing and proofreading typeset documents.
  • Assisting with the planning industry events related to CFX and DFX.
  • Providing technical expertise to industry as it relates to IPC standards on design.
  • Manage standard development projects that promote best practices within design for printed boards and assemblies.
  • Provide technical support and communication to IPC Members and IPC Staff regarding interpretation of standards and applications of technology. 
  • Manage online technical committee resource tools, including committee pages.

REQUIREMENTS

  • AA/BA Degree required
  • Interest in electronics and/or assembly technology
  • Possess outstanding project management skills, must have at least 1-year experience working as a Project Manager
  • Must be an excellent Multitasker and be highly organized
  • Advanced skills with MS Office Suite, NetSuite a plus

IPC practices a virtual workspace, employees typically work virtually 2-3 days per week and come to the Bannockburn, IL office the other days.
