Career Opportunity: Marketing Analyst

IPC — Association Connecting Electronics Industries is looking to hire a Marketing Analyst.  The Marketing Analyst is responsible for providing data analysis and market analysis to support the planning and development of marketing strategies, marketing communications and market research to achieve IPC’s annual business plan goals and objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Market Analysis and Marketing Data Enrichment (60% of focus)

  • Providing market analysis to support the development of strategic marketing plans to achieve annual marketing department objectives.
  • Performing market and competitor analysis including market size, trends, growth, and segmentation
  • Build quantified models of addressable market by segment, including monetization potential
  • Conducting IPC member analysis including levels of engagement and developing actionable insights to deepen member engagement
  • Innovating reports and dashboards in NetSuite and Business Intelligence tools that drive effectiveness and decisions across the marketing organization.
  • Conducting gap analyses to evaluate marketing data hygiene and defining and implementing data acquisition and enrichment activities to maintain optimal coverage and quality.
  • Assuring the uniformity and quality of marketing data records used within core business systems, including the Bronto marketing automation platform, NetSuite CRM system and CVENT event management platform.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Market Research (40% of focus)

  • Support selected IPC Statistical Programs and studies as assigned.
  • Collect and clean data, which includes following up with late respondents, reviewing raw data, identifying outliers, and contacting respondents for correction or confirmation of questionable data.
  • Tabulate data in Excel and create graphs and tables to populate reports.
  • Contribute to the quality of IPC market research by suggesting new techniques, tools and processes.
  • Protecting the confidentiality of participating companies’ data is crucial. Learn and adhere to IPC policies governing data confidentiality. The employee in this position will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the IPC market research products and programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing or related field. 
  • 2+ years of experience in quantitative analysis work
  • Understanding of mathematical functions, including sums, percentages, averages, medians and weighting
  • Understanding of basic principles of statistics and market research
  • Strong data mining and analysis skills specifically, the ability to extract and analyze data from various sources and gleam insights and recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency as a user of Excel
  • Knowledge of internet search techniques
  • Ability and willingness to learn how to use IPC technologies quickly, including NetSuite, Qualtrics, CVENT, Bronto and Teamwork
