- LEADERSHIP LOST? Rebuilding the U.S. Electronics Supply Chain: The report, written by industry veteran Joe O’Neil under IPC’s Thought Leaders Program, was prompted in part by the Senate-passed U.S. Innovation and Competitiveness Act (USICA) and similar legislation being prepared in the House.
- An Analysis of the North American Semiconductor and Advanced Packaging Ecosystem; Rebuilding U.S. Capabilities for the 21st Century: IPC undertook a thorough, data-driven analysis of the global semiconductor and advanced packaging ecosystem and made 28 recommendations to address capability and capacity gaps within North America.

- Workplace Measures to Manage COVID-19 Risk: Dispelling Myths with Effective Methods: This report answers questions IPC has received from its members, including those related to cleaning, disinfecting, and contact tracing, with answers grounded in science and evidence.
Chemicals Management
- Preliminary Findings: PFAS Use in the Electronics Industry: Regulators in the United States and the European Union are eyeing chemicals in the per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) class for possible new restrictions. In July 2020, IPC conducted this study to gain a better understanding of the evolving policies shaping the production and use of PFAS.

EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE
- Findings on the Skills Gap in U.S. Electronics Manufacturing reports on the results of a 2017 IPC survey of U.S. electronics assembly manufacturers on the impact of the skills gap. It identifies the hardest-to-fill production and engineering/professional positions, reasons applicants did not qualify, educational requirements for hard-to-fill positions, essential skills in short supply, the effect of H-1B visa availability, and companies’ outlook for expanding their workforces and their businesses in the next year. 31 pages.
- 2022 Wage Rate and Salary Study for the North American Electronics Assembly Industry: Electronics assembly companies in North America can use the data in the report to gauge the competitiveness of their compensation, benefits and policies in order to compete for the best talent in the industry.
