IPC Automotive Supplier Checklist

Summary: 3rd August 2023, EMS Automotive Supplier Check sheet - IPC 1771 (Draft Version) has been released at IPC organized “Integrated Electronics Manufacturing & Interconnections”  event at Pune.

This IPC Automotive Supplier Checklist can be used by all Automotive OEM’s for their supplier line release audits and periodic process confirmation, and in the event of quality issues.

This will also minimize variance in auditing practices of OEM’s at supplier sites, thereby enabling suppliers to focus resources on process improvement and product reliability.

IPC India Automotive

Expected Benefit :

  • Audits become more efficient and purposeful.
  • Reduces efforts of suppliers in preparing for varying needs of audits, thereby releasing time for value-adding continuous improvement.
  • Leverages the experience of industry players, both OEM’s and suppliers in order to “Build Electronics Better”.
  • Combines the knowhow built into already popular IPC standards that have been in use over the years in a more comprehensive and coordinated manner.
  • Results in better understanding and more fruitful cooperation between respective OEM’s and suppliers.

Status :

  • Draft checklist is open for the feedback from Automotive OEM and Suppliers. IPC encourages discussion on the draft and request meeting with IPC India Liaison. The final version is to be released by December 2023
