Q & A

IPC  Duration / Time
     1-hour virtual session

IPC  Background

IPC enables reliable, high-quality electronics by developing the trusted standards that drive the global electronics industry's success. IPC standards help ensure superior quality, reliability and consistency in electronics manufacturing. IPC has the design standards & best practices needed to deliver effective and reliable designs to your customers.

The objective of this webinar is to introduce the basic PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design requirements for the semiconductor industry’s ATE (Automated Test Equipment) board. The IPC design standards are recommended for the PCB design process to build a reliable and high-quality product for IC chip testing purposes. A review of the IC chip and testing environment, followed by an explanation on the key points related to suitable material, thermal and mechanical support, layout and land pattern selection for this environment.
