Industry Importance
Cable & Wire Harnesses are a vital part of an electronics manufacturing process. It is the key component for connecting the printed circuit board connection with other PCBs or to external circuitry. The wire harness eases the manufacturing process. Since wire harnesses can be used to solve such a diverse range of interconnection challenges, they are used extensively throughout industries. The scope of the cable assembly industry is broad, encompassing various types of cable assemblies such as custom cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electromechanical assemblies, among others.
Global Cable Assembly Market is forecasted to grow reaching nearly US$ 243.40 billion by 2029. The market size for cable assembly is expected to witness significant growth Asia Pacific Region due to the increasing adoption of advanced technologies such as 5G, IoT, and AI, which require high-speed and reliable data transmission. Moreover, the growing trend towards miniaturization and modularization of electronic devices is expected to further boost the demand for cable assembly solutions and boost the bottom-line of the companies
End User Demand: The sectors rely on wire harnesses to maximize efficiency:
Aerospace & Defence
Transport, Automotive & EV
Medical
Telecommunications & ICT
Infrastructure & Power
Industrial & railways
Robotics & Automation
IPC & WHMA Partnership: The Wiring Harness Manufacturer’s Association (WHMA) was established in 1993 to serve and dedicate their resources to the global cable and wire harness industry. WHMA is the ONLY trade association exclusively representing the cable and wire harness manufacturing industry including manufacturers, their suppliers and customers.
NOTE: A maximum 3 Candidates Per Company is eligible for participation.
