2024 “EMS and Beyond” Seminar in Tallinn

15 October 2024 - IPC was proud to participate in the 2024 “EMS and Beyond” Seminar, hosted by the Estonian Electronics Industries Association in Tallinn, Estonia, on 15 October 2024. The event brought together 150 industry professionals from the Baltic and Nordic regions to explore the EMS sector's opportunities and challenges.

Key discussions included an overview of the industry’s current landscape led by Kaspar Peek, Head of Industry, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications of Estonia, and expert insights from Dieter G. Weiss, In4ma. Participants exchanged strategies for fostering business growth, enhancing competitiveness, and advocating for a more substantial business environment.

The “EMS and Beyond” seminar highlighted the importance of collaboration and knowledge-sharing across borders, reinforcing the role of such events in shaping the future of the electronics industry in the region. IPC looks forward to continuing its support for these valuable initiatives.

Successful 4th IPC Day Türkiye - Electronics Manufacturing Days Conference Held in Istanbul

8 October 2024 - The 4th IPC Day Türkiye - Electronics Manufacturing Days Conference, successfully organized by Yıldırım Elektronik, EMT Elektronik, the manufacturer of the X-Treme Series and DNZ, IPC-Licensed Training Center in Türkiye, attracted 300 engineers, managers, and electronics professionals from across the Turkish industry.

The one-day conference, focused on "Future Factories and Traceable Electronics Manufacturing," featured presentations on management and engineering approaches that enhance efficiency and traceability in manufacturing and soldering processes. Topics covered included IPC standards, the IPC Design Initiative, traceable dry cabinets, traceable soldering and manufacturing processes, and innovations in solder pastes and wires for selective and robotic soldering systems.

The conference offered valuable insights and provided networking opportunities for attendees, supporting the exchange of knowledge and fostering collaboration within the Turkish electronics industry. IPC thanks all speakers, partners, and participants for contributing to the event’s success.

2024 IPC Day Italy: A Day to Remember!

3 October 2024 - The 2024 IPC Day Italy took place at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, bringing together over 100 attendees for a learning, networking, and innovation day.

The event featured insightful discussions on electronics manufacturing, with attendees gaining valuable knowledge on the latest industry developments. A highlight of the day was the IPC Game, where Carlo Alberto Bonora and Matteo Giovannini from SPAL Automotive, along with Gelu Marian Bibire from SADEL S.p.A., emerged as the top winners. The three winners were awarded a Ferrari simulator race experience, following a competitive challenge with 80 participants, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The conference also included a tour of the Ferrari Museum, offering attendees a unique behind-the-scenes look at Ferrari’s engineering excellence.

2024 EMS Leadership Council Meeting in Gdansk

24 September 2024 - IPC hosted the 2024 EMS Leadership Council Meeting Europe in Gdansk, Poland, which brought together Europe’s EMS industry leaders to discuss key strategies for advancing the sector. The meeting focused on driving business growth in the current economic climate and exploring ways to advocate collectively for a more level playing field in the business environment.

Alison James, IPC’s Senior Director of European Government Relations, provided insights into Europe’s competitiveness and the potential implications of the upcoming European Commission’s technology-specific positions. IPC continues to serve the industry by gathering feedback from key players to help shape strategies for advancing the sector and building electronics better.

2024 IPC Day EMS Europe Held Successfully in Gdańsk

24-25 September 2024 - The 2024 IPC Day EMS Europe took place at AmberExpo, Gdańsk, Poland, bringing together over 120 industry professionals for informative discussions and networking.

Industry leaders from Zollner Elektronik AG, Inission, C-MAC Electronics Solutions, Fideltronik Poland, and Kitron Group shared insights on the future of Europe’s EMS sector. Key topics included the growing need for re-shoring and near-shoring production to Europe, focusing on agility as a key factor for resilience.

IPC provided a balanced mix of practical advice, data-driven insights, and innovative ideas from the companies supporting the industry. The event also offered valuable opportunities for participants to connect and discuss the latest trends and challenges in the sector.

The event concluded with a call to action from Alison James and Jarosław Tworóg, encouraging support for the ongoing political efforts to strengthen the European EMS industry.

Successful IPC Day Slovakia Brings Industry Professionals Together 

19 September 2024 - IPC Day Slovakia, held in Žilina, was a great success, bringing together electronics industry professionals for a day of learning, networking, and innovation. Organized by the IPC-Licensed Training Center in the Czech Republic and Slovakia Realtime Technologies, the event featured insightful presentations on IPC standards and PCB/PCBA production.

Sessions on ESD management provided valuable knowledge, and interactive quizzes allowed participants to test their expertise. The event also offered ample networking opportunities for attendees to connect with peers and share insights. IPC thanks all speakers, participants, and partners for making this event successful.

IPC Day EMS Tallinn

IPC Day EMS featured a seminar presented by Dieter Weiss on In4ma’s analysis of the EMS market in Europe with a special angle on performance indicators in the current economic paradigm. The afternoon program also featured success stories from companies such as NOTE and Inission Syd AB, which elaborated on the importance of proximity, cooperation, and partnerships as key to building a resilient and efficient supply chain in Europe.

IPC Forum at Productronica 2023

IPC Europe debuted a brand new exhibition setup at the 2023 productronica tradeshow, transforming its booth into a lounge and networking space, a keynote forum area, and sufficient space for the IPC Hand Soldering World Championship.

The IPC Forum was the center for provocative industry questions, panel discussions, and updates on IPC topics such as CFX, sustainability, technology solutions, and wire harness manufacturing.

IPC Day Aerospace Netherlands

IPC Day Aerospace was focused on an immersive opportunity for the participants to be up to date with IPC’s activities in Europe and learn about the European Space Agency’s (ESA) advanced PCB technology directly from the experts.

The event program featured a keynote from NASA’s Bhanu Sood, who presented an insight into the work of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and how NASA’s projects integrate and define risk. Stan Heltzel from ESA gave a broad overview of the space situation in Europe, laying out the roadmap for HDI board fabrication and the lack of suppliers in the EU for its self-sufficiency.

All participants later attended a guided tour of the Erasmus Innovation Centre, which put the context of realism on human space exploration.

IPC Day Romania: Build Electronics Better with Standards and Solutions

The two-day conference, in partnership with FLEX, attracted close to 280 participants from the local electronics manufacturing industry and across the neighboring countries. The program featured renowned guest speakers and industry leaders from companies such as NASA, Stellantis, Bosch, Flex, Indium, TTM Technologies, Viscom, Nokia, IPC, The Polytechnic University, and Vitesco. The keynotes and panel discussions covered various topics such as electronics reliability, e-mobility, education and training, standards and simulations, and more.

The IPC Europe team visited FLEX manufacturing facilities and participated in demonstrations and networking sessions.

IPC Design Day Italy

Francisco Fourcade was present at the IPC Design Day Italy organized by the Universita degli Studi dell'Aquila. The event was focused on networking and knowledge exchange among the local electronics manufacturing experts and included presentations from R3 Technology, Leading Edge, and Cavi Evolution.
