IPC European A-Teams Drive Standards Updates
11 September 2024 - IPC hosted a two-day A-Team meeting at its European headquarters in Munich, focusing on advancing key standards for the electronics industry.
The IPC-6012 Automotive Addendum A-Team continued working on their next revision, building on the recently published IPC-6012 standard. The addendum guides PCB fabrication and qualification in the evolving automotive sector, ensuring alignment with new technologies while maintaining the highest manufacturing quality requirements.
Simultaneously, the European Press-fit A-Team revised the press-fit pin handbook, IPC-HDBK-9798. This update aims to improve understanding and application of the IPC-9797 press-fit standard, offering enhanced support to industry professionals. Furthermore, the Plastronics A-teams continued the development of the IPC-9206, which provides testing guidelines for the manufacturing of in-mold electronics and laser surface-activated MIDs.
These collaborative efforts reflect IPC’s commitment to driving innovation and supporting the future of electronics manufacturing. Stay tuned for more updates as these projects progress.
IPC WinterCom 2024
